Your Votes Are In! Here’s What’s Changing for V2.

Some votes were extremely close!

Hey everyone,

Here’s a quick recap of how our second prototype will look based on your votes! Thanks for taking the time to participate🤝.

Q1: Back Panel Support

Over 55% of you voted for additional lumbar padding built directly into the back panel, instead of having the support integrated into the hip belt.

Q2: Hip Belt Sizing (Extremely Close at 51.5%)

This one was almost a tie. 51.5% chose two adjustable hip belt pads that extend or shorten, instead of multiple belt sizes.

But after seeing how close this vote was, we’re exploring a setup that lets both be offered as optional add-ons so you can pick which works best for you.

Q3: Hip Belt Height

60% voted to keep the hip belt height like most travel backpacks (instead of Farpoint-style).

Q4: Strap Foam Material

This was the largest lead among the votes, with 82% choosing the more expensive Ariaprene. My manufacturer already sent a sample of the material, and I’m really excited about this choice. It’ll be more breathable and more comfortable than traditional foam.

Q5: Shoulder Strap Shape

Another close one, with the S-shape strap winning with 57.5% of the votes.

Q6: Duffle Mode

76% of you voted that you rarely tuck in your shoulder straps and don’t need duffle mode. This helps us simplify the design and keep the weight down.

Q7: Organization

Passports, secret pockets for AirTag, water bottle pockets, pens, a notebook, a laptop, and earphones were the most common items. I wasn’t originally planning an AirTag pocket, but after these votes, I’ll add one. Bellroy’s hidden AirTag pocket behind their brand label looks like a good idea!

Q8: Exterior Material

Recycled TPU won with 51.5% of the votes, with X-Pac in second place at 30%, and the rest being other one-off suggestions.

Q9: Interior Color

Grey won with 51.5%, with 24.2% voting for orange, and the rest spread across other colors.

Your votes are literally deciding what stays, what changes, and what improves for V2, and the backpack is getting better with every round of your feedback.

Thank you again for being part of this journey.

P.S. I spoke with our manufacturer last night, and we’re aiming to have Prototype V2 ready within 30 days🤞. I can’t wait to show you how your votes are shaping the most comfortable travel backpack out there.
